Trust and obedience are two fundamental principles that hold immense significance in the Christian faith. Trust refers to having faith in God and relying on Him entirely, while obedience involves following His commandments and living a life that is pleasing to Him. The book of Proverbs, Chapter number 3, verses 5 and 6, says, " Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." The above scriptures emphasize the importance of trusting God wholeheartedly and not relying solely on our limited understanding. It encourages us to surrender our will to God's divine plan and guidance because God knows what is best for us. We can experience peace, joy, and a sense of security by trusting God, knowing He controls our lives.
Similarly, obedience is a vital aspect of the Christian faith. In the book of Exodus, Chapter 19, verse 5, God says to the Israelites, "Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations, you will be my treasured possession." This verse admonishes us to obey God totally through our love and commitment to Him. Obedience to God's commandments enables us to honor Him and live a life that reflects His teachings.
In the New Testament, Jesus teaches the significance of trust and obedience in his parable of the wise and foolish builders. In the book of Matthew, Chapter number 7, verses 24-25, Jesus says, "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came in, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock." This parable highlights the significance of hearing God's word and putting it into action. It emphasizes that trust and obedience to God's teachings are essential for building a solid life foundation.
We cannot truly experience the supernatural until we trust him for our provision, protection, promotion, and other expectations. The world is full of uncertainties, and only by trusting in His promises can we truly live in peace. Trust is complete when we obey his instructions in every facet of our lives. As you obey and trust His leadership in your life, I pray that the new month will produce abundantly for you and your family in Jesus' name. Shalom!!!
